We are located less than three miles away from some of the best fly fishing in the world. The Yellowstone River can be viewed from the Lodge, and is full of rainbow and cutthroat trout. It's catch and release as we feel that a trout is just too valuable a resource to take out of the river. If you are interested in learning some beginning fly fishing lessons, let us know, and we can assist you with that as well. Anglers from all over the world descend on the Yellowstone River, and the fly fishing in Montana is legendary. Fishing can be enjoyed almost all year round, but probably you'll be fishing through the ice during the winter months!
Shadowood recommends Montana Outfitter Gentlemen Jim Klyap (Montana Outfitter #7843) of nearby Dome Mountain Ranch for all your Montana Elk hunting and Montana Fly fishing guiding needs. Jim is a professional in every sense of the word. His number at Dome Mountain Ranch is (406) 848-9111. |
