Vista Verde Ranch

The lush alpine setting of this luxury guest ranch provides the backdrop for the elegant accommodations, fine dining and wide array of summer and winter activities that are hallmarks of a Vista Verde Ranch vacation.  While still a Western ranch, there's an element of being a ranch resort given the emphasis on luxury and diverse offering of activities.  But we're still down to earth, and there's a lot of earth around this Colorado guest ranch!

The crystal clear mountain water of the quiet lakes and rushing streams of Vista Verde make for some of the best fishing in America.  Since we are small in terms guest capacity we have the capability to cater to the needs of our anglers. Our guides are very knowledgeable about the area waters and strive to create a unique experience with one-on-one instruction and some of the most spectacular scenery imaginable. And, because of the abundance other activities, while you go out after that perfect catch, the others are having fun riding, rock climbing, rafting, hiking, biking, more. Wild Horse Inn B&B

Handcrafted from 400-year-old logs, moss covered rock, and giant picture windows, the Wild Horse Inn is reminiscent of the grand mountain lodges built at the turn of the 20th century, back when Colorado was rougher around the edges, and refinement had a distinctively rustic flair.

Just an hour-and-a-half from Denver, the Wild Horse Inn sits nestled among acres of trees and meadows on a ridge above Fraser Valley - surrounded by the Continental Divide, Rocky Mountain National Park, and an infinity of mountains on all sides.  You're minutes from skiing, mountain biking, flyfishing, rafting, or hiking.  We'd be happy to help you plan your mountain adventures.  The Fraser River, Colorado River, and multiple reservoirs are within 30 minutes of us!

Gourmet breakfasts, endless cookies bakies from scratch provide sustenance for your mountain adventures.  Borrow a book from our guest library, pore over maps to find your next trail, or play a quiet game of chess while you enjoy the warmth of the massive stone fireplace.

Hot Sulphur Springs

The Historic Riverside Hotel
rvrsdhtle1

The Riverside Hotel was built in 1903, the year the town was incorporated, to cater to the Hot Springs visitors that would arrive on the Rocky Mountain Railroad at the newly constructed train depot. Not only has The Riverside functioned as a hotel for all of its 105 year history, but has also been a garage in the 1920’s, a biker-bar burger joint in the 1970’s, and often times a brothel in between – or so the legend goes.

Hot Sulphur Springs is also near the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park and the Grand Lake Recreational area – 20 miles from our doorstep at The Riverside. Grand County also boasts four Championship Golf Courses within 20 miles of the hotel, including the 27-hole Pole Creek Golf Club, the #1-rated public golf course in Colorado. For those who don't want to wander far from the hotel, there is a small public park in our backyard that runs along the Colorado River and hosts an 18-hole disc golf course. Visit the national park and the lake, or golf during the day, and escape from the bustle at night for a soak in the springs, an elegant meal and a restful sleep at The Riverside.

We are located directly on the Colorado River, on a stretch of Gold Medal Water!!
