The Daniel Rust House is a pre-revolutionary homestead, located only a half mile from Lake Coventry. One of the largest lakes in northeastern Connecticut.
We have 4 rooms, all with private baths. A full country breakfast is served between 8:30-9:30 a.m., or we can put out a basket for you to take on your early morning fishing trip.
We are only 2 miles or so from The Nathan Hale State Forest, as well as many fresh water streams. We are dog friendly (pets must be spayed/neutered) so you can bring your buddy with you.
There are 2 acres for your use, as well as off street parking. The Maybell Cottage has a kitchen and tv/dvd player, the main house has a common room with a tv/dvd as well as an area for you to use if you would like to bring in dinner (or use the bbq to grill up your days catch!).
Overnight accommodations are in rooms furnished in keeping with the colonial period. The only modern touches are the 20th-century bathrooms, decorated in colonial style. Each room includes a private bath, wireless Internet, telephone, alarm clock radio, and complimentary sherry and chocolates. Two parlors, a “keeping room,” and a sitting room with a video cassette library and fax machine are available for guests. A full breakfast with fresh eggs, milk, cheese, and home-made jams is served in the original dining room or in the intimate breakfast room.

The house, full of rustic charm, is on a private pond, which guests are encouraged to fish. Enjoy a ride in the paddleboat, while listening to the sounds of the waterfall.
