We are a "destination fishing resort" and feature guided steelhead fy fishing, targeting the Middle Klamath River, Lower Klamath River, Trinity River, and Cal Salmon via drift boat, jet boat, and raft. Our target waters are close enough to easily allow us to nightly return you to your private cottage or deluxe home and a 5-star lodge dinner. Our steelhead season starts in late summer, as we transition our guest ranch and fish lake operations into our steelhead fly fishing lodge. Our fishing rates are based on full service guide packages with meals and lodging included, but can also be arranged a-la-carte for steelheaders who may not need a professional guide or a lodge meal package. Doug Cole, the ranch owner and lead guide, and his family and staff live here and fish here. Our "home turf" advantage of intimately knowing the above rivers allows us to lead you to the best possible fishing day. Our ranch is 367 acres surrounded by National Forest and the Trinity Alps wilderness area in northern California. It lies along Coffee Creek, an excellent Trout fishing stream for natives ! Stockers can be found in the Trinity River, East Fork, or in the Coffee Creek Pond. We are located 72 miles Northwest of Redding, 8 miles above Trinity Lake. Coffee Creek has every imaginable Dude Ranch amenity, with the most popular activity still being Horseback Riding . The ranch breeds its own AQHA and Paints. Typically, two rides a day are scheduled, and rides are divided by ability level. Private lessons can also be scheduled. Breakfast rides are the most popular, with the all-day "wilderness ride" to a lake the most spectacular! The Lodge at Blue Lakes is a historic resort on scenic Blue Lakes with 21 units. Our total remodeling in 2005 reflects a major construction and decorating project that was committed to quality, service and distinctive tastes. Use your imagination to select the room best suited to your taste. Choose from our luxury rooms such as Deluxe Jacuzzi room with fireplace featuring a whirlpool tub, or a Queen Jacuzzi Room with a standard whirlpool tub, kitchenette rooms, or mountainside and lakeside rooms. A canopy bed is available in our Jacuzzi rooms. On the lake, fish right off our dock or use the boat ramp to launch your own boat to catch Bass, Lake Trout, Catfish or Blue Gills. (The lake is stocked monthly by the Department of Fish and Game.) Blue Lakes are spring fed and are among the cleanest lakes in California. Since the speed limit is 5 miles an hour, you are ensured of a quieter vacation than most other lakeside resorts.
