A Riverside Cottage
The Riverside Cottage is a beautiful, fully-furnished, two bedroom, two bath luxury vacation rental on the Feather River in Oroville, CA.It is perched on a rise above the river with easy, on property, access to the river. Guests are welcome to bring kayaks, canoes or inner-tubes and launch their river-borne adventures from our shoreline. Swim and fish from the property or explore the miles of open access to the river in the nearby parks including the Oroville Wildlife Area.
A wall of windows in the Great Room provides fantastic views. This room also has a fireplace and a wide screen TV on cable with a DVD.There are two Queen bedrooms each with a separate bath. We are a "destination fishing resort" and feature guided steelhead fy fishing, targeting the Middle Klamath River, Lower Klamath River, Trinity River, and Cal Salmon via drift boat, jet boat, and raft. Our target waters are close enough to easily allow us to nightly return you to your private cottage or deluxe home and a 5-star lodge dinner.
Our steelhead season starts in late summer, as we transition our guest ranch and fish lake operations into our steelhead fly fishing lodge. Our ranch is 367 acres surrounded by National Forest and the Trinity Alps wilderness area in northern California. It lies along Coffee Creek, an excellent Trout fishing stream for natives ! Stockers can be found in the Trinity River, East Fork, or in the Coffee Creek Pond. We are located 72 miles Northwest of Redding, 8 miles above Trinity Lake.
Coffee Creek has every imaginable Dude Ranch amenity, with the most popular activity still being Horseback Riding . The ranch breeds its own AQHA and Paints. Typically, two rides a day are scheduled, and rides are divided by ability level. Private lessons can also be scheduled. Breakfast rides are the most popular, with the all-day "wilderness ride" to a lake the most spectacular! The Lodge at Blue Lakes
The Lodge at Blue Lakes is a historic resort on scenic Blue Lakes with 21 units. Our total remodeling in 2005 reflects a major construction and decorating project that was committed to quality, service and distinctive tastes.
Use your imagination to select the room best suited to your taste. Choose from our luxury rooms such as Deluxe Jacuzzi room with fireplace featuring a whirlpool tub, or a Queen Jacuzzi Room with a standard whirlpool tub, kitchenette rooms, or mountainside and lakeside rooms. A canopy bed is available in our Jacuzzi rooms.
On the lake, fish right off our dock or use the boat ramp to launch your own boat to catch Bass, Lake Trout, Catfish or Blue Gills. (The lake is stocked monthly by the Department of Fish and Game.) Blue Lakes are spring fed and are among the cleanest lakes in California. Since the speed limit is 5 miles an hour, you are ensured of a quieter vacation than most other lakeside resorts. You will only have to get used to the occasional sounds of crickets or birds wafting across the water on a light breeze of fresh mountain air.
