Nelson's White River Retreat

Located near Buffalo City, Nelson's is a vacation rental home perfect for those who seek
quiet privacy on the White River. Named after the family who settled and farmed here for
many years, Nelson's is a true old Ozark farm retreat surrounded by fields and forests. Sitting
on the porch gives you a view of the White River 200 feet away, and the Ozark National
Forest on the other side.
Nelson's is a comfortable brick home with 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, kitchen, laundry, and
a large open living and dining area which has a captivating view of the White River and the
Ozark National Forest. The full bathroom has a hair dryer and plenty of thick weave towels,
wash clothes, hand towels and bed linens. An ironing board is also available. The house was
upgraded in 2006 and refurnished in 2007.
Heating and cooling is by central heat and air conditioning with ceiling fans in the living room,
dining room, each bedroom and the enclosed porch. The main bathroom has a shower tub
so you can take a relaxing bath or a quick shower.
Outside the home are several hardwood trees and a well kept lawn where you can cook out
on the gas grill. The large grass yard gives room for several river boat trailers and vehicles.
The house sits at the end of a long meadow, and between the house and the river is a
smaller meadow. Song birds, deer, and small wildlife search for their meals in the meadows
and trees around the house. A pair of bald eagles have their nest in a tree nearby on the
river.
For outside games Nelson's has provided horseshoes and lawn bowling (Bocce Ball).
